Note: If you are looking for
longer scripts that what I have here, with more
characters for larger groups, consider this; do
three or more of the shorter scripts, maybe with
a special song inbetween, to fill the time. The
audience interest can be kept much easier with a
variety-type program, rather than one long
production.
Keep This In Mind...
When planning for holiday
events such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day,
don't feel obligated to choose a script that
specifically addresses the holiday. You don't
need a skit about Valentine's
Day to do one at an event celebrating
it. That is limiting your entertainment and
ministry choices. Feel free to choose a script
based on an idea and topic different from the
focus of the holiday.
What the attendees are
looking for is an interesting and enjoyable drama
presentation. They won't mind if the program
includes elements that don't specifically relate
to the holiday. However, if you feel the need to
include some aspect of the holiday, you can alter
the scripts to reflect it. A simple mention of
it, or changing a few lines to have it happen on
the holiday, are often enough.

"The
Battle of the Sexes: Round One"
In this
"post-fig leaf" script, the world's
first couple hit their first speed bump on the
road to martial... uh, marital bliss.
After being evicted from the Garden of Eden, will
they ever get over blaming each other? About 8-10
minutes in length, this light, humorous,
but ultimately touching skit, is great anytime,
but perfect for Valentine's
Day.
"The
Creature In The Closet"
(Special NEW Sweethearts Version,
for Valentine's Day!)
What is the nasty little monster that is hiding
in Ron's closet? And how is it coming between him
and his girlfriend? A
parable comedy skit about the dangers of
unforgiveness. Something stinks in this guy's
house, and it ain't his socks. This 8-10 minute script
uses four people.
"Mama's Close Call!"
Written for Mother's Day, but good any time,
this skit will have everyone in stitches! Mama,
settling in for a nice quiet evening with her TV,
gets more excitement than she bargained for -or
wanted- when her writer son drops in. Getting all
choked up -literally- over his tribute to
mothers, Mama wonders: will she ever get to watch
her movie, or will she end up in the hospital? A
hysterical 8-10 minute sketch with a heart!

Inspired by "How The Grinch Stole Christmas,
this is a short yet powerful presentation
guaranteed to bring a smile to their lips and a
tear to their eyes! It can be done as a
dramatic reading or acted out to the recording
or live narration. Done by many for Christmas and
Easter, it
can be done at any
time for a short presentation if you want
something simple but very moving.

Most Wanted."
Detailing Peter's deliverance from prison and
certain death by an angel in the Book of Acts,
this dramatic, yet sometimes humorous script is
our biggest yet! Utilising up to nearly 20 people

five-act play demonstrates the continuing impact
that Christ's resurrection had on those who lived

Day To Remember"
This
is a serious drama script that uses the World
Trade Center attack as a looming backdrop to an
intimate drama. Running 8 to 10 minutes long, it
is a powerful reminder that God is in control
even when things are looking bad. It also brings
a strong message about not putting off salvation.
Read it to see if you want to perform this
relevant script, in which the revelation of where
the characters are comes as surprise ending to
viewers not aware of this synopsis.
"Crazy
For Christ"
A
young Christian applying for a position at a
mental hospital suddenly
finds his sanity being questioned because of his
faith. Will he end up staying as a patient
instead of an employee? Running about 8-10
minutes, this skit uses 6 people and one very
large needle (supplied).
"The
Sheep's Clothing Store"
Wandering into a new store, a
church-going customer begins to realise that
things are not as they seem. Could the
proprietor, Mr. Wolfe, have an ulterior motive in
selling his fashion line? Not
everyone dressed like a Christian is one. This is
where they shop. A funny but direct skit that runs
about 8-10 minutes and uses four people.
"The
Gift"
An
elderly lady is admitted to a nursing home. Her
fruitful days of puppet ministry are coming to a
close, but something magical happens!
Written specifically for a female
ventriloquist/actress, this script is limited in
who can perform it, but it's an idea I've had for
awhile. Maybe there is a lady out there reading
this who has that kind of ministry, that might
enjoy doing the script. But if you can't do it,
read it anyway, and be sure to have a hanky
handy! It might have you blubbering
like a big fat baby.
"The
Man With The Shellfish Heart"
Here's
a script that only takes two people to perform,
yet it's packed with humor and pathos. A private
detective, looking for the heir to a great
fortune, stumbles on a sad, depressed shell of a
man who has had his heart broken. Insensitive at
first, the Christian P.I. begins to realise that
his own heart has been clammed up about God's
love for too long. (Features a track

about 8-10 minutes, and is great for Friendship
Day.

Red Tie Club"
A man, trying to get in an exclusive club without
the proper attire, tries everything in his power
to get the doorman to let him in. The lesson he
learns about the requirements to enter are a
powerful parable about the efforts man makes to

"Live
From The Battlefield"
A
Christian reporter interviews a Soldier of the
Lord at the front of the battle. In the face of
the fierce fighting and the soldier's dedication,
the reporter learns the importance of the armor
of God and personal commitment. One of our

"Assignment:
Witness!"
The
interaction between a believer and a non-believer
at a bus stop is influenced by unseen (to them)
spiritual beings representing both sides. The
very real powers of Heaven and Hell are seen as
they strive for a soul. Churches all across the
country have performed this one! Runs about 10
minutes.
"Assignment:
Hindrance!"
This short skit follows the chance meeting of a
couple of demons, Scuzzy and Sleazy, as they
converse about the ups and downs of being
assigned to hinder Christians. Funny, direct and
easy-to-do, this script goes great as a follow-up
sequel to "Assignment: Witness," or
stands alone. 6-8 minutes.
"In
The Shadow Of Death"
This script is not quite as
humor-oriented as the others, (although it does
have funny moments) but it's very effective in
the portrayal of the ways people try to avoid
facing the fact that a dark predator is stalking
them. Click the title to read "In The Shadow
of Death," a short work that can briefly
employ as many as eleven actors. Good for some
chills, with guaranteed goosebumps at the end!

"Attack
of the Monster Tongue"
Looking
for something short but hard-hitting and
fall-down funny? Why not perform our radio hit
song with skit elements, "Attack
of the Monster Tongue?" Lots of others around the
country have; puppet teams, singing groups, drama
teams, and more. You'll cackle and chortle over
this story of Gossips Gone Wild! (Features
a track from the Prime Example album for
preview!) About 6 minutes long.
"The
Tell-Tale Talent"
Relaxed
in his passive inactivity, Stan gets a rude
awakening when the talent he has buried years ago
comes back to haunt him! Perfect for October fall
festivals, but good any time of the year, this
short-but-scary script can put as many as 10
actors to work for about 10-12 minutes.

"Tricks or Treats:
Scare vs Scare"
A seasonal script. A Christian wife takes the
opportunity to hand out Gospel tracts with the
candy for Halloween: "share," but her
husband has a different idea: "scare!"
Will the kids get "tricked" or
"treated?" And what about the neighbors
that pop in unexpectedly? A short, fun (and
very easy-to-do) skit that
uses 4 adults and a half-dozen kids (that
come to the door.)
"Testimony
Show"
An
announcer at a Christian radio station opens the
phone lines to give his listeners an opportunity
to share their testimony. His emotional state
comically deteriorates as the calls instead
become a testimony to defeat, trouble and
thanklessness! This 5-6 minute song with skit
elements is performed to music, and works great
for Thanksgiving. Also great for puppet
teams, and combinations of drama
team/singing group. (Features a track

"How Nick
Became a Saint!"
Under observation by the unseen angel assigned to
him, department store clerk Nick is drafted to be
a fill-in Santa. Enduring demands and abuse by
the kids in line, his holiday cheer melts like a
snowflake on a griddle. But then he gets the best
present he ever received, from the most unlikely
source; a little girl on his knee who shows him
where the true joy of Christmas comes from. Kids
and adults can be part of this one! 8-10 minutes.
"Crisis
on the Holiday Helpline"
The Holiday Helpline is set up to
help people facing despair, despondency and
depression during the holidays. But without the
Lord, what hope can the counselor give? What if
he's worse off than the callers? A short, VERY
easy to do skit that needs only one person
onstage, and one offstage on a microphone! Funny
and effective, with a powerful salvation scene.

"Live
From Downtown"
Looking around for the perfect
short comedy Christmas skit for that holiday
banquet or service? Well, look no more! Here is
the script for one that's 10 to 12 minutes, that
can use 13 or more people (8 actors and a group
of carolers). This script is just right if
you're looking for a short but funny (and
meaningful) Christmas presentation. It has been
