Okay, the assumption of this page is that you have done one or more of the skits on this site, and with great results (as many have, as you can see on the Testimonials Page.) Maybe you've even ordered some of the soundtracks from here and saw how much they added to your performance. And you're thinking; "Man, those went so good! The rehearsal paid off, and we know it so well, I wish we could do it again somewhere else!" The light goes on in your head then; "Wait a minute! Why couldn't we do it somewhere else? Why don't we do it somewhere else?" You could, and should! Here is the logical extension of that idea: choose about an hour's worth of skit material from this site, that includes what you have already done. Order the soundtracks that go to the new ones you want to do. Rehearse with them, trying them out at your own church, until you have put together a whole program, consisting of three or four of these skits, using at least one or two of the song/skit hybrids in between the straight performance skits, for variety. (The ULTIMATE Skit Kit, found on the Soundtracks Page, would be the best bet in equipping your team with the tools they will need to carry it off.) Once you and the team knows the lines, and are fluent in working with the sound effects and music tracks, then contact other churches in your area, starting with others in the same denomination. Tell them you have a comedy/drama program you want to come and present. Most likely it will be received with excitement and open arms. Once you have done it successfully there, word will spread, and most likely other churches will begin to contact you, wanting you to come and present it for them as well! It will extend your drama team's influence far beyond your own church. Think about it! Your drama ministry could partner with ChristianSkitScripts.com to bring quality productions to your community and beyond. It's an exciting thought, isn't it? -Fred |
